Praying in Puerto Rico
Daisy is in surgery…please keep praying

prayfordaisy:

The nurse just called down to say they put in the port and the epidural.  The surgery on the tumor has begun.

Praying for Daisy…

She is in surgery now.. two hours..  I keep trusting God for a miracle…. Benign or gone.. Mercy and grace…. Thank you Lord for holding the family in the palm of your hands through this time of walking through the shadow…… We wait in the shadow of your wings…. and pray….

TO all my friends who serve the Lord at Abundant Life Fellowship

prayfordaisy:

Daisy had a pretty hard time at Chemo yesterday, fear still being a big factor.
But radiation is going well and we are half way through (we finish next Friday), and are not seeing too many side effects yet, but the doctor says they are coming.

Daisy is looking forward to having the weekend off from both treatments.

Today, Daisy got her hair cut for the first time ever!! She did it in anticipation of it falling out and one of her best friends (Selah Balli) did it with her. A sweet girl in our fellowship offered to do it and brought Barbi dolls for each of them to cut the hair off as well. The Barbi Doll’s hair looked just like Daisy and Selah’s, one blonde and one brunette.

Daisy and Selah are dedicating the beautiful hair they cut off to Pantene Beautiful Lengths which makes wigs for women with cancer.

prayfordaisy:

Things are transitioning a bit with Daisy. It seems as though we have gotten over a hump with some of the big physical challenges, though we are experiencing small side effects of Chemo and Radiation like fatigue, sores in the mouth, strange bowel behavior, etc.
But the main challenge now seems to be emotional. Now that huge amounts of pain are not a daily issue, Daisy is asking a lot of questions about her body and cancer and what it all means. She has been getting depressed, crying a lot for no reason, feeling some shame and embarrassment, etc. We are praying and loving her through it.
We are still working toward giving her all the details of stuff she will still endure, but she is fragile, so it is slow going… We think she is starting to wonder why she has been getting dozens of beanies in the mail…
The main issue this week is Chemo on Thursday. Radiation everyday is going well, but the thought of going to Chemo again terrifies her. This is a picture of her and Kate at Chemo last week and you can see by the look on her face that she is not stoked.
Though she seemed to come through it great last time, she is really dreading going back. The thought of the needle sticking in her chest for a long time and all that is just too much for her right now.
So, we can use prayer in those areas. We are pretty emotionally drained as a family and it seems to be getting a little harder right now. But the Lord is our strength and joy and is so near in the midst of it! We are loving and worshiping Him!
4Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice!
5Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near.
6Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
7And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
8Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.
9The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.
-Philippians 4:4-9

Pray for this darling little girl!

beautifullyalive:

If you haven’t heard her story, listen to the video on the right hand side of the tumblelog.  That’s her dad, Britt Merrick, giving a sermon based on what happened to his beautiful daughter, Daisy Love.  She’s fighting cancer, a Wilm’s Tumor, and is a tough little cookie.

Follow this tumblelog, and you’ll get updates on how Daisy Love is doing.  Please, pray for her.  Just look at that smile…

Pray for Antonio James (Daniela’s baby- Donna’s grandson)

(This prayer request is from my best friend Donna who moved to San Diego. Her newborn grandson is in ICU, she is sick with flu and her daugher, Daniela (mother of Antonio is also sick)

Please pray for baby Antonio, he is in ICU at childrens hospital.(San Diego) At present he is stable and doing better, but Saturday night we took him to urgent care because he had a climbing fever. We were sent to Childrens Hospital (#6 top hospital in the world for children) his temp was 102, his heartrate was double it was around 280 to 300bmp should be more like 150. they treated him several times to bring it down and were unsuccessful at first. They have stablized him and run many tests to find the cause of the problem. They are looking for an infection of some sort, he is in the best hands.

They think he might have caught some virus,he came back negative for flu but they treated him for it anyway, as well as antibiotics, but not sure yetof cause. Myself, I came down with the flu while at the hospital and had to leave, am feeling somewhat better today. Daniella had the flu Friday, was recovering Saturday, and is feeling a lot better. SHe is at the hospital with the baby. Daniela is a very good mother. She had noticed he was acting not quite right and had taken his temp Saturday, it was 99, she called me at work and took it again it was 100 , so we made plans to get him to urgent care, her quick action probably saved him.

Pray for a full recovery and peace for Daniela in this stressful situation, pray I get over this flu so I can go back to the hospital to be with them.
miss you all…Donna (Bolton)

Pray: Still waiting for her bowels to function before she can eat
She hasn’t eaten in 5 days and really wants to
She is starting to despair because she feels like she’ll never eat, she’ll never “toot” and she’ll never get out of the hospital
No word yet on whether breathing has improved, however, the doctors are saying that post operatively she is doing “perfect” Psalm 42:5 - Why are you in despair, O my soul? And why have you become disturbed within me? Hope in God, for I shall again praise Him for the help of His presence.
